What Is Elevation Dance Company?

Elevation X Dance Company “EDC” is the competitive dance team here at Delray Beach School of Dance. Company members are expected to train at a higher level than our recreational students and be willing to dedicate a great deal of time to training on technique, artistry, flexibility, and stage presence. Members must be hard-working, consistent, and committed to continuous growth in their classes. 

Leadership is a fundamental aspect of our team dynamic. We are looking for individuals who can motivate and support their peers and who will represent our team with pride and professionalism. 

Our company dancers will get the opportunity to compete at local regional competitions, attend dance conventions, and perform in additional pieces in our Fall and Spring recitals. 

Auditions

For the first season of our company, we will not conduct group auditions. Instead, we will meet with students individually to assess their readiness for the company. Interested candidates must first complete the competition form. Following that, they will receive an email from one of our tea staff to coordinate and schedule an audition time slot. 

Students will be placed in routines and in solos or duos based on the following:

We understand that many of our studio families travel out of town over the summer, therefore we are only requiring members to attend the competition team intensives on July 28th- August 1st and August 4th- August 8th. They may attend more if they plan to be in town. We will also be starting choreography for solos and duos during these weeks before the start of the season.
